Are Moms the Hot target market?

Wow, I have run a few grassroots campaigns and efforts in the past and you couldn’t ask for a more solid network, then the online Mom.

When running a grassroots effort or campaign, there are a few major players.

First the inception, the creator of the idea, product or movement, usually the face of the movement.

Second the strategist, the one that develops the plan of attack to get the information, project, movement out there. Third there are the managers and administrators, that identify the key people to launch the idea to, this is usually a few well known individuals in the community for which larger sections of the community would gladly follow.

Finally there are the troops, those that are on the ground floor, knocking on doors, talking to friends, these are the ones with the most passion to get the message out there. These are the workers of the campaign.

Today: Now we have an online community, and who are the soldiers of the online community? The moms of course. Frankly the moms are the creators, strategists, managers and soldiers of their own causes.

This really is old news, the “moms community” has taken a huge leap in the last year. The great thing about working with and marketing with moms is if they love you, then they tell everyone about it. The mom network has been a lifesaver for new home businesses, friendships, and self esteem for women everywhere.

The mommy blogs, tweets and communities have provided a glimpse to the modern house wife. These mom’s actually talk about something other than diapers and spouses, but, never forget to throw in that final “shout out” to exactly those people they love. I have always known that “mom’s” have been insightful and intelligent, including those that decided to stay home with their children, but before recently, try telling that to perspective employers, investors and frankly, other women.

The women’s liberation movement has now morphed into, well, including all women, not only the working woman, but the work at home woman, the insightful neighborhood mom, the non-profit charitable mom and don’t forget the dutiful and ingenous housewife (you know the one’s that manage real life projects, create budgets, review profit and loss, and were the founders of the original viral marketing). Now that is liberating.

The time has arrived that motherhood, technology, and business have merged in a big way….watch out!

As I was contemplating this post, I was trying to identify the other hot target markets:

Christian- Anything and everything focused towards Christians. Finance, women in business, businesses in general.

Homeschoolers-  With the rise of the conversation of where America is going, homeschoolers are exploding out of the woodwork. Homeschool has been around since the beginning of time, but with uncertainty and distrust of the education system, and the improved  respect for stay at home moms, homeschooling has skyrocketed in recent history.

Green- We all have seen the attention given to going green and protecting our environment, but there has never been a better time to make green while going green.

Take it or leave it the Mom’s market is hot and ready to transform business online. Great Job Ladies!
